FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- A Sunset man will serve concurrent prison terms for the murders of his ex-wife and the fetus she was carrying.

Roger Martin MacGuire was sentenced today to 20 years to life for the aggravated murder of Susan Lynn Christensen MacGuire in January 2001.

He also was sentenced to six years to life for the murder of her unborn child.

Normal sentencing guidelines for murder is five years to life, but was enhanced by a year on a weapons charge.

MacGuire pleaded guilty to both charges in an August plea deal. That spared him receiving a potential death penalty and a life without parole sentences.
