SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- One of Utah's biggest post-Olympic road construction projects is finally complete.

Crews pushed back orange barrels yesterday on an eight-mile stretch of Interstate-15, signaling the end of the 33 (M) million dollar project.

The project added a new travel lane, a carpool lane and two new park-and-ride lots on a stretch of road from 10-thousand-600 South to Point of the Mountain.

Though drivers complained during the seven-month expansion project, Utah Department of Transportation officials say they finished under budget and almost a month early.
