(KSL News) -- Nearly 100,000 homes and buildings lost electricity today during two unrelated power outages.
This morning a fault was detected at an electrical substation, which cut power through much of Ogden and south Box Elder County.
An hour later an electrical overload at a substation in the Salt Lake Valley left the south part of the valley and American Fork without power.
Utah Power said they restored everyone's electricity by this afternoon and they don't know if the outages effected any voting sites.
