St. GEORGE (AP) -- Water usage is heading into a seasonal low, but St. George officials want to make sure people still make efforts to conserve.
A main water treatment facility at Quail Creek Reservoir near Hurricane was shut down last week for a 24 (m) million dollar expansion project. Once the project is over, water officials say it will increase availability by about 50 percent.
Residents are still encouraged to conserve, but officials don't anticipate any shortages.
The water department decided to shut down the plant until February because water usage is lowest during the winter months.
