SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson wants to use security cameras to nab speeders and drivers who run red lights.
Anderson goes before the city council tonight with a program of social and political causes he wants to take to the Utah Legislature.
The mayor wants to try to influence state lawmakers on everything from allowing Salt Lake to adopt its own gun laws to requiring city contractors to pay their workers a living wage.
Anderson also wants legislators to let unmarried couples adopt children.
