(KSL News) Deputies make an arrest in connection with an arson in Salt Lake County.
Investigators say a neighbor knocked on the homeowner's door at 3352 W. 5735 South late last night to let him know his truck was on fire.
Both men were able to douse most of the flames by the time fire crews arrived.
Deputies say information from witnesses led them to a suspect at an apartment at 2757 S. 300 East in South Salt Lake. They say the suspect smelled of gasoline and smoke, and they arrested him.
Both the homeowner's garage and truck were damaged by the fire. The homeowner received some minor burns, but is expected to be fine.
Authorities believe the suspect and the victim know each other, but have yet to find a reason for why the suspect set the fire.
