(KSL News) -- Weber County authorities are investigating a claim of sexual assault at a junior high school.

A volunteer at the school says a man with a knife sexually assaulted her when she went into a bathroom at Snow Crest Junior High in Eden early Tuesday.

Today, security around the school is tight.

Police are doing more patrols, volunteers are checking the perimeter of the school during school hours and only some doors will remain unlocked.

Nate Taggert Weber County School District: "We've got a buddy system set up so kids are not going to the restroom alone."

Rick Hoxer, Parent: "It is real serious and you want to feel like your kids are safe and that they're being looked after"

Police are looking for any witnesses who may have seen the man Tuesday morning.
