PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Police say some alert citizens got a drunken driver off the road in Provo.
It happened last night when a former police officer saw the man appear to pass out at a traffic light. The former officer honked her horn, but the man drove on.
When the car started to drift toward oncoming traffic, a citizen jumped in and hit the brake. Police say three citizens detained the driver until officers arrived.
Police say the man was too intoxicated to do a field sobriety test.
