(KSL News) -- An attorney for the Deseret Morning News is arguing to release details of a sexual harassment investigation at Salt Lake County.
At issue are documents, statements and notes that led to the resignation of Deputy Clerk Nick Floros last year. A woman employee at the Clerk's office claims Floros harrassed her, but the District Attorney has not yet filed any criminal charges in the case.
The county is hoping to protect the privacy of the woman involved.
Jeff Hunt, Attorney For Deseret Morning News: "It is an issue that's of considerable public interest and importance and it's not going to go away."
Valarie Wilde, Deputy District Attorney: "That information is protected by the privacy interests of individuals that gave them and programs and classifications, given the fact the chilling effect of releasing them."
The alleged victim of the harassment still works in the clerk's office, and has filed a -civil lawsuit against Floros and the County.
