(KSL News) -- A shooting in a west Salt Lake neighborhood.
Late Wednesday night, a man was shot in the abdomen in the area of 429 North 1820 West.
Neighbors tell KSL two men got into a heated argument over a wallet, and the next thing they heard was a gunshot. The victim was taken to a hospital , and is undergoing emergency surgery. The suspect apparently took the victim's wallet and fled the scene.
Police have set up a perimeter in the area, and are searching for the suspect.
The only description they have of the suspect : He is a dark complexion male, wearing white pants.
