(KSL News) -- Triathletes honored a Boy Scout who disappeared in the Uinta Mountains back in August. Participants raised money for the Garrett Bardsley Foundation.

The charity will build schools in third world countries and help families with missing relatives.

Kevin Bardsley, Garrett's Father: "Garrett would be overwhelmed with the fuss that's being made on his behalf. But I know it's what he'd want us to do."

A memorial for Garrett will be held next Saturday. Search efforts will resume after the winter season.
