(KSL News) -- Court documents provide a clearer picture on why a judge has canceled visitation rights for polygamist John Daniel Kingston.

Earlier this week a judge denied Kingston visitation of his 11 children.

Court documents show that the judge made the decision, partly because some of children Kingston had with Heidi Mattingly say they still fear their father, even though most have been in state care since June.

The judge also said Kingston was using his weekly visits to sway the children's testimony.
