Kathy Aiken ReportingIt looks like Utah coach Urban Meyer has made his decision, and it may surprise some.

Meyer has said Notre Dame would be his "dream" job, but numerous reports say he'll be coaching in blue and orange, instead of blue and gold.

According to several reports Coach Meyer has agreed to a seven-year, $14-million contract to coach Florida. One report said Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley was in town today to close the deal.

Meyer has not been available for comment...though some PLAYERS spoke after this morning's workout.

Morgan Scalley: “We'll miss Meyer.”

Tommy Hackenbruck: “Happy for Coach Meyer.”

Meyer will meet with his players early tomorrow morning, apparently to update the situation.

I asked Utah Athletic Director Chris Hill if he's planning on a news conference and he said it's his protocol to let the other team go first. That could come in the next day or two.

Should he officially accept the Florida job, he would rejoin former University of Utah Presiden Bernie Machen, who is now the president of the University of Florida.
