SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The wife of a late LDS Church apostle and grandmother of Utah's governor elect is dead.

Ruby Haight died this evening surrounded by her family. She was 94.

Her passing was announced by church president Gordon B. Hinckley at the faith's annual Christmas Devotional. President Hinckley remembered her as a beautiful, sweet and wonderful character.

She married David B. Haight in 1930. They have three children, including Karen Haight Huntsman. She's the wife of petrochemical entrepreneur and philanthropist Jon M. Huntsman and the mother of Governor-elect Jon Huntsman Junior.

David B. Haight was the oldest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles when he died July 31st at age 97.

She is survived by her children, 18 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren. The church is expected to announce funeral arrangements tomorrow.
