(KSL News) -- A West Valley City officer noticed a suspicious vehicle tonight, ran its plates, and dicovered it was stolen.
He tried pulling it over, but the suspect fled, reaching speeds of 75 to 85 miles an hour along California Avenue.
The suspect eventually bailed out of the vehicle, leaving a female passenger inside. The car rolled to a stop.
Police found methamphetamines and heroin inside the car. The man was arrested in a nearby field.
Both he and the woman face charges of attempting to distribute the drugs and driving a stolen vehicle.
