(KSL News) -- Pocket bikes have been banned from the streets and sidewalks of South Jordan.

The city council unanimously voted to keep the bikes off public property.

The bikes have become a safety concern, since their arrival in Utah this summer.

Layton, Centerville, Kaysville and Salt Lake County have also banned pocket bikes.
