OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A power outage yesterday at Weber State University wreaked havoc for students trying to get in a last day of studying with their professors before finals.
The outage hit the campus just after six o'clock yesterday morning, just as students and professors were arriving.
A university spokesman says the power outage was caused by a blown switch in the campus' electrical system, and it was probably due to the wet and snowy weather.
School officials decided to cancel classes because they did NOT know long it would take to find the problem and correct it.
Power was restored about three hours after the outage.
