MOAB, Utah (AP) -- A Roosevelt man charged with killing three members of a Moab family while allegedly driving drunk has been ordered to stand trial.
Rex Allen Cross had a preliminary hearing yesterday in Moab. The trial date was NOT set, but the judge ordered motions to be heard March 15th.
The 28-year-old Cross is charged with three second-degree felony counts of automobile homicide for the October head-on crash near Moab that killed Kathleen Parry, and her parents, James and Olive Parry.
Kathleen's six-year-old daughter, Emma, survived the crash, which occurred about five miles northeast of Moab on state Road 128.

Several news organizations -- the Deseret Morning News, The Salt Lake Tribune, the Moab Times-Independent, the Uintah Basin Standard and The Associated Press, -- successfully fought to keep Tuesday's hearing open.
