(KSL News) -- The Utah Highway Patrol had to deal with several cars that slid off the road in Parley's canyon.
While a trooper was investigating one accident this morning, another car sped around a corner, lost control, hit a concrete barricade, and slammed into the patrol car with the trooper still inside.
No one was hurt.
Keith Dockstader, Utah Highway Patrol: "There's a lot of black ice up the canyon. The sun doesn't hit everywhere all the time. And the temperatures are just really, really cold."
Troopers advise drivers to continue to stay aware of weather conditions, and slow down.
