(KSL News) A Layton family coming home from shopping got a new lawn ornament. Deena Maggard and her family found a car upside down in their front yard.

Authorities say the teenage driver of this car lost control, hit a tree, and flipped the vehicle onto the grass. His girlfriend riding with him went to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

No word yet on whether the driver will be cited.
