(KSL News) Two men are recovering, and two suspects are on the run after a shooting early this morning on Salt Lake's west side.

Police Search for Shooting Suspects

Police say both of those suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Police were called to 1116 West and American Avenue. Witnesses say they were driving around when they were chased by a dark -colored vehicle, possibly a green Impala. The victims thought a police car was following them, so they slowed down.

Peter/ Witness: "We pull over and we saw this guy took off the gun and started firing at us."

Sgt. Craig Gleason/ Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "Then they shot at them again, and then our victims fled."

Police Search for Shooting Suspects

One victim was shot in the back, the other in the arm. They were taken to the hospital in good condition. Police are still searching for two women who were inside the victim's car. Officers believe the case could be gang -related.
