REXBURG, Idaho (AP) -- University of Utah officials are hoping their Rexburg kidney dialysis center will be open by late summer.
Work has already began on the facility, which will be the school's tenth center.
The program administrator says the 20-station center will serve up to 25 dialysis patients from Rigby to West Yellowstone, Montana.
Dialysis sessions last up to seven hours. Most patients need the treatment two or three times a week.
The university will transfer staff from its Gem State Dialysis Center in Idaho Falls -- its only other Idaho center -- to the new center, which will eventually employ up to nine people.
