SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- There's some question now about a report today that a competency review against Brian David Mitchell is being delayed.
The Salt Lake Tribune reported that the hearing scheduled for Thursday was cancelled.
However, the court told The Associated Press today that nothing so far has been filed to continue the proceeding.
The additional competency review was ordered after Mitchell burst into song during a hearing last month and had to be escorted from the courtroom.
Attorneys for Mitchell have said he's becoming increasingly unable to assist in his own defense.
Mitchell's wife Wanda Barzee, who is also charged in the 2002 kidnapping, was found incompetent to stand trial and is being treated at the Utah State Hospital.
