SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 28-year-old construction worker was pinned against the Capitol today by the equipment he was using.

Salt Lake City Fire Department spokesman Scott Freitag says the man was breaking up concrete with a machine at about 3:20 this afternoon when he accidentally put it in reverse.

The man was pinned against the Capitol building, which is undergoing construction and renovation.

A quick thinking co-worker switched the 18-hundred pound machine to forward.

The man, whose name was not released, was alert and complaining of abdominal pain when emergency crews arrived.

He was taken to L-D-S Hospital.
