SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) -- Governor Huntsman fills vacant seats in the state legislature with two Republicans.
Today, Governor Huntsman officially signed a letter appointing Darin Peterson and Rick Wheeler.
Peterson will take over the Senate District 24, which was previously held by Senator Leonard Blackham.
Blackham recently resigned after being named to a cabinet position as State Agriculture Commissioner.
Wheeler was appointed to House District 68, which was held by Representative Mike Styler.
Styler also recently resigned after being named to a cabinet position as State Natural Resources Executive Director.
