(KSL News) -- A rash of vandalism in the Orem area left several homes and businesses with broken windows.

An Orem family heard a crashing sound about 5:00 this morning and discovered someone had thrown a rock through a plate glass window. It was a costly act of vandalism, it will cost $2,000 to fix the window.
Carol Hill: "They threw a rock up and it hit the wall. Then it came down and stopped and landed on the stairs."
Investigators were also called to an Orem business where someone broke two windows as well as a glass door with big rocks.
And an Orem Police officer also found someone threw a rock through the window of his patrol car.
Police believe the cases are related and are looking for suspects.
