PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- Fashion photographer and filmmaker David LaChapelle was arrested over the weekend in Park City.

Police say, LaChapelle was arrested outside the Marquee Club early Sunday morning after a police confrontation.

Officers were called to the club to help control a crowd as security attempted to escort two actresses from the building.

Deputies say, they had asked LaChapelle several times to back up, but he failed to comply with their requests.

LaChapelle was booked into the Summit County jail on the suspicion of disturbing the peace. He was later released.

LaChapelle is in Park City debuting his first full-length feature "Rize" during the Sundance Film Festival.
