(KSL News)--Former Salt Lake County Mayor Nancy Workman says she's somewhat apprehensive, but hopeful as she faces trial.

After a pre-trial hearing this morning attorneys on both sides say they're ready for a jury to look at the facts in context and decide whether Workman misused public funds.

Jury selection is later this week. The trial is set for February 1st.

Prosecutors say Workman inappropriately used county health department money to pay two employees at the South Valley Boys & Girls Club.
