HEBER CITY, Utah (AP) -- The man who allegedly took several hostages at a Heber City medical clinic is now facing charges.
35-year-old Royal K. Giles of Pleasant Grove is charged with first-degree aggravated kidnapping, second-degree aggravated assault and class B misdemeanor impersonation of an officer.

He's scheduled to appear in 4th District court today.
Police say, Giles went to the Wasatch Medical Clinic on Tuesday to speak with a doctor who treated his stepfather two years ago. When a patient was called by a nurse, Giles allegedly pulled a gun on him, ordered him to lie on the floor and falsely identified himself as a police officer.
The situation was diffused about a half-an-hour later, after a police officer showed up.
The officer and Giles' stepbrother, who was on the phone, convinced him to turn himself in.
