Alex Cabrero reporting The man at the top of Utah's Most Wanted list is now in jail. Nathan Kallas, 25, turned himself in this morning.

Police say he probably knew investigators were closing in on him. Late last night, police found Kallas's Trans-Am, which meant he wasn't too far away.

He was able to escape being caught a couple of times, but this morning he decided he'd had enough of running and took himself to the Salt Lake County jail.

Cody Ramseyer Jr./ Kallas' Brother: "Sorry to say it, but my prayers have been answered in a way."

There's a special bond between brothers that can last through almost anything. Even jail.

Cody Ramseyer Jr./ Kallas' Brother: "It makes me feel good. I feel like he's safe. I don't have to worry about him."

Cody Ramseyer found out early Saturday morning that his more famous, or infamous, brother finally decided to do the right thing for a change.

Sgt. Shane Hudson/ Salt Lake Co. Sheriff's Office: "He just felt like this is a futile effort to keep avoiding law enforcement, and let's get it over with."

Nathan Kallas had finally had enough. Being one of Utah's most wanted brings a kind of pressure he probably never imagined.

Police were hot on his trail. Friday night they found his car, which told them Kallas had to be nearby. Then Saturday morning, police got a tip that someone recognized him going into this Days Inn in South Salt Lake.

Deputies surrounded the hotel, and with their guns ready for a possible battle, went inside the room. They didn't find Kallas because he wasn't there.

Shane Hudson: "Prior to all this happening, Nathan Kallas checked himself and booked himself into the Salt Lake County jail."

Turns out the man in the room looked like Kallas, but wasn't him. However, he was arrested because he had a few warrants, too.

But the big catch of the day was Kallas.

Cody Ramseyer Jr./ Kallas' Brother: "I pray for him every day and night, and it's all we can do, leave it in God's hands."

Kallas was wanted on two felony counts. Police say he stole cars and burglarized businesses. Now he's going to face justice for that.
