(KSL News) A chase in West Valley ends with two people being hauled off to jail.
Narcotics detectives were looking for a woman with outstanding drug warrants. She was the passenger in a car, so an officer tried to pull it over.
Instead, the driver took off, eventually lost control of the car on Bangerter Highway and went into a field. Police say the driver sped off because he had guns in the car.
Lt. Bill Froelich/ West Valley City Police Dept.: "This is just another case of one foolish act after another, adding insult to a person's situation when they should have just given up."
The man just got out of prison and isn't allowed to have any weapons. He had no outstanding warrants.
