SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Governor Jon Huntsman has signed his first bill.
He signed into law the flood relief bill that loans 25 (M)million dollars to southern Utah communities ravaged by floods.
The bill takes effect immediately and was signed the same day that President Bush signed a federal disaster declaration for Utah, freeing up federal aid.
The state's loan to Washington County will fund repairs to roads, bridges, water systems and other infrastructure, but will not help individuals who suffered individual losses.
