(KSL News) -- Would you recognize the Salt Lake City flag? Most people don't.

Tonight the city council hopes to select a new flag that will stand out, be recognizable and memorable, and represent the city in the 21st century.
Mayor Rocky Anderson announced a flag contest last September. Over fifty entries were submitted by artists from all over the world, one design coming all the way from Spain.
A flag commitee narrowed it to the three choices you see here. The winning artist will receive a personal flag signed by the city council and a 100-dollar gift certificate.
