(KSL News) Interstate 80 had a different kind of driving danger today.
A wrecker driver was travelling east near Parley's Canyon when he saw another car facing the wrong way off the road. When he tried to help the other driver, the man started firing gunshots.
Ron Moore/ Wrecker Driver: "He looked at me, pulled the gun out, and shot it into the air. It was a pretty loud gun. It was pretty scary."
Sgt. Stephen Manful/ Utah Highway Patrol: "This poses a great danger. We've got people that are just driving minding their own business. Obviously those bullets have got to come down somewhere."
No one was hurt. David Gilmour, 60, is in jail on several weapons charges.
