OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A 60-year-old man accused of sex crimes against an 8-year-old girl is expected in court today.
Joseph Floyd Boney was charged on Tuesday with first-degree rape of a child, sodomy upon a child, aggravated sexual abuse of a child and second-degree sexual abuse of a child.
Boney allegedly committed various sex acts with the girl over the last two years. Police say, Boney knew the girl well.
Authorities say they were alerted to the alleged crimes after the victim apparently divulged information during a counseling session.
Court documents said Boney admitted to several of the acts but denied the rape charge, claiming he never had sex with the girl.
