(KSL News) It turned out to be just a bag of salt. But for awhile, police considered it a suspecious package.
They cleared out the Matheson Courthouse and closed State Street in both directions today.
A courthouse employee called police after he found a bag covered in duct tape in the trunk of a car. The bomb squad went through it and determined that it was only a bag of rock salt.
Security at the courthouse was elevated earlier in the week, during child custody hearings for the Kingston polygamous family.
