SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 48-year-old West Valley man has pleaded guilty to his ninth drunk driving offense.

Rudy Lopez was accused of driving with a blood-alcohol level nearly four times Utah's legal limit. He went to prison Friday.

Third District Judge Leslie Lewis told Lopez that given his history, prison was the only option. D-U-Is are misdemeanors until a defendant has two or more prior convictions in a 10-year period.
