(KSL News) -- The oldest daughter of a Florida couple accused of starving and torturing five of their seven children is asking for permission to visit her siblings, and ultimately, to foster them.

John and Linda Dollar remain in San Juan County Jail after police arrested them in Southern Utah.

Now their daughter, 25-year-old Shanda Shelton, is asking to be named a "relative caregiver".

Social workers say the Dollars subjected the children to malnourishment, shocking with a cattle prod, and sleeping in a closet.

The couple is waiting for Florida authorities to take them home.
