(KSL News) -- Utah has a reputation for being a clean and sober state, and here's some evidence to back that up.

The U-S Substance Abuse Administration says Utah has the lowest rate of drug use, alcohol use and binge drinking.

The study combines data from more than 100-thousand interviews in 2002 and 2003.

The state with the highest rate of illegal drug use is Alaska.

Research finds binge drinking is a problem across the nation, but particularly in North Dakota, Colorado and Iowa.
