(KSL News) -- Two people, including a Salt Lake County Sheriff's Deputy, were injured in a crash at the mouth of Parley's Canyon this morning.
The deputy had stopped for a minor, single-car accident when another car lost control, slid sideways, and slammed into his unmarked SUV.
The driver of that car was seriously injured, and had to be cut from her car.
The deputy's injuries appear to be less serious.
The accident snarled traffic through the area most of the morning. The transition road from I-215 northbound onto eastbound I-80 was closed, as well as I-80 coming out of the canyon going southbound onto I-215.
