FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) -- Police in Farmington, New Mexico, say two Utahns have been arrested in the stabbing deaths of two people whose bodies were found behind a convenience store.
They say 22-year-old Creighton George and 32-year-old Marcia Lee -- both of Aneth -- were charged with murder and other counts and are being held without bond .
Investigators say two anonymous tips led to the arrests.
Farmington Police Lieutenant Doug Kennedy says the suspects met the victims -- 40-year-old Art Dale of Rattlesnake and 38-year-old Loretta Pierce of Carson at a soup kitchen on February ninth. An argument later broke out over alcohol and Dale was stabbed several times in the back. A fight then ensued among all four.
Police say both victims were stabbed repeatedly and their throats were cut.
