PROVO, Utah (AP) -- A guilty verdict is handed down in the trial against an Alpine man accused of raping his daughter.
Last night, the jury found 35-year-old Blair Alan Devey guilty of 12 first-degree felony counts of sexually abusing and raping his daughter.
The jury deliberated for four-and-a-half hours after two days of testimony.
Devey could be sentenced to five years to life in prison on each count. He was convicted of sexually abusing and raping his daughter, who is now 15-years-old, between 1999 and 2004.
In April, the girl told her mother about the incidents.
Prosecutors reacted to the verdict by saying "Justice has been done." Devey's defense lawyer said they plan to make an appeal.
A preliminary sentencing hearing is set for April 12th.
