(KSL News) -- Tooele police say a man torched his own home, then collapsed from a gunshot wound.

They say the man poured gasoline in a trailer next to his house then started a fire. Flames destroyed the trailer and quickly spread to his house and threatened neighbor's homes.
Rebecca Evans, Neighbor: "I felt the heat when I opened my blinds. And then I saw the flames. At first I thought my house was on fire, but then I just turned around and grabbed my three-year old and my baby and I just ran out of the house, and grabbed the phone and called 9-1-1.
A neighbor found the man outside his house with a gunshot wound in his torso. He is in stable condition in the hospital.
