Sam Penrod ReportingTrashed and burned, Idaho police investigate arson on a church. Police say someone broke in, vandalized the newly remodeled ward house, and the set it on fire. It happened in the small community of Rose, Idaho, about 45 miles outside Pocatello.

The fire appears to have extinguished itself, but not before causing extensive smoke damage. The vandals apparently broke in through a glass door, stacked furniture in a foyer, and set the fire.
Church services were canceled Sunday and volunteers are working now to clean the fire damage up.
It is especially disheartening for church members because the building had just been remodeled a few months ago.
