(KSL News) A would-be shoplifter is behind bars, after stabbing a security guard at a West Valley City Shopko today.
Police say Cartell Williams tried to walk out of the store with some stolen CD's. But when the security guard stopped him at the door, Williams lashed out and stabbed him in the neck with an exacto knife.
Several other security guards rushed over and were able to take Williams into custody. The security guard only suffered superficial wounds, and was treated at the scene.
Williams now faces aggravated robbery and assault charges.
