Another positive sign for the overall economy in Utah was announced earlier this month as Microsoft opened its newest office at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. The new Microsoft facility provides offices for Research and Development as well as product development employees.

The office opening showcases Microsoft's continued commitment to Utah. The new facility will eventually employ more than 100 software engineers, most of whom work in Microsoft's Management Services Division. The work Microsoft is doing in Utah is cutting-edge, centering on virtualization and search - two of the company's fastest growing markets - and will integrate deeply with both the company's Windows and Office product lines.

In addition to this office, Microsoft has a development center in Draper, a sales office in downtown Salt Lake City and a call center near the Salt Lake City International Airport.
