(KSL News) -- Police and SWAT teams have a home in Salt Lake surrounded tonight.
It started when Salt Lake Police and officers from Adult Probation and Parole tried to serve a warrant at the home. The suspect, Shane Shields, ran inside and barricaded the home.
The man has a criminal history and may be armed. As a precaution police have evacuated several nearby homes.
They have established contact with Shields and right now police are just trying to talk him into giving himself up.
