SALT LAKE CITY -- There was plenty of movement in this week's KSL Coaches Poll after several ranked teams suffered defeats last Friday.

Bingham, Alta and Pleasant Grove remain in the top three in 5A but two new teams enter the poll after big upset wins.

Lone Peak knocked off previously unbeaten Brighton 23-7. The Bengals defense hadn't given up a single point all season until Friday's loss to the Knights.

Syracuse drops from the poll after losing at home to region rival Davis. That allows the West Jordan Jaguars to make their debut in the poll after an impressive start to the season and a 55-6 win over Copper Hills. Quarterback Adam Boelter had an unforgettable night going 24-for-33 for 258 yards and six touchdowns and also rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns.

In 4A Bountiful continues to dominate every team they play and they retain the top spot. Mountain Crest and Timpview come in at two and three while Pine View moves up a spot to No. 4.

The big story this season in 4A has to be the resurgence of Ogden Football. Just two years ago the Tigers had a 22 game losing streak. Now they are 4-0 and have earned the respect of the coaches with a No. 5 ranking.

In 3A, Juan Diego keeps on winning and once again was a unanimous choice at No. 1. Park City, Hurricane, and Wasatch maintain their spots after all three earned double digit victories. Bear River and Morgan tie for the No. 5 spot.

The only change at No. 1 in this week's poll came in 2A. South Summit moves into the top spot after hammering 3A Delta 27-7. The Wildcats forced 5 fumbles in the 2nd quarter of that game and cruised to an easy victory. San Juan drops to No. 2 but were very impressive in a loss to Durango, a 4A team in Colorado. The Broncos had a 20-7 lead in the 4th quarter before giving up 14 unanswered points. South Sevier and Millard came in at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively as the two teams face off this Friday in Monroe. Grand held on to the No. 5 spot as they prepare to make the tough trip up north to face South Summit.

In 1A, Monticello and Milford traded spots as the Rich Rebels continue to blow out their competition. They host the Buckaroos on Friday. Duchesne got a nice win over North Summit last Friday as they hold on to the No. 2 spot.
