(KSL News) -- Dianne Binger, President and CEO of the Salt Lake Convention and Vistors Bureau, has died.

Binger had been undergoing treatment for cancer when she died Wednesday night at the age of 54.

She served as President of the organization since the summer of 2001, and oversaw a staff of 58 fulltime employees responsible for attracting conventions to the city.

A memorial service is planned at the Salt Palace next Wednesday at 11 o'clock.
