SALT LAKE CITY -- A portion of Highway 89 under the Beck Street Bridge will close Friday night.
The southbound lanes will be closed to traffic starting at 10 p.m. They will reopen again at 5 a.m. Saturday.
The lanes were closed Thursday night while crews placed girders on the bridge. That work was set to continue Friday.
Motorists traveling from North Salt Lake will be detoured onto Interstate 15.
